SANDHILL CRANES

It used to irritate me when we lived on the acreage South of Kearney when the Sandhill Cranes would arrive and keep me awake all hours of the night.  I’m guessing kind of like the people who live on the golf course in Estes Park, and the elk keep them awake all hours of the night bugling.

You don’t really appreciate what you have sometimes until it’s gone.  We don’t have Sandhill Cranes or trains in Estes Park.  Growing up on the railroad, I kind of got used to hearing those trains.  Here are some pictures that I took on my recent trip to Nebraska that I thought you might enjoy them.
